Qualifications: Legislative Auditor II: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
1 to 3 years’ experience in auditing, information technology/systems auditing, financial analysis, accounting, or other relevant fields.
Candidates are not required to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for employment.
However, certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Investments and Derivatives Auditor (CIDA) may substitute for experience.
Legislative Auditor III: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
4 to 6 years’ experience in auditing, information technology/systems auditing, financial analysis, accounting, or other relevant fields.
Candidates are not required to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for employment.
However, certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Investments and Derivatives Auditor (CIDA) may substitute for experience.
Knowledge of the following would be beneficial: Microsoft Excel, Word, and other desktop tools Governmental Accounting Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Governmental Auditing Standards Benefits: Each employee receives: Moving allowance of up to $15,000 may be available 15 days of annual leave 14 days of sick leave 11 paid legal holidays Health insurance - The State offers a plan with no premium for employee-only coverage.
