The Bureau of Finance and Management is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our implementation team as a Business Analyst, specifically focusing on Organizational Change Management (OCM).
This unique opportunity, located in Pierre, South Dakota, puts you at the forefront of transformative change as we embark on Project BISON – an initiative to implement a new ERP financial solution.
The transition to this state-of-the-art ERP system allows the chosen candidate the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
Project BISON is not just an ERP implementation; it’s a bold step to modernize and define the financial infrastructure of the State of South Dakota for decades to come.
As a key member of the Project BISON implementation team, your responsibilities include:
supporting and providing input on OCM objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and success criteria;
building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication throughout the change process;
working collaboratively with project stakeholders to implement an effective OCM strategy;
developing rapport, collaborating, and communicating openly and effectively with Project BISON participants to create an environment of trust that facilitates the successful ERP system implementation;
engaging with state agencies and departments to understand their current business processes, opportunities for improvement, and organizational culture;
working jointly with the communication team to keep stakeholders informed about the upcoming changes and project progress;
collaborating with the training team to design and deliver training programs tailored to different user groups;
working closely with department heads and team leads to proactively identify and address resistance to change concerns and facilitate a positive attitude toward the ERP implementation;
assisting with reviewing and approving test plans and procedures;
leading group discussions by presenting information accurately, concisely, and persuasively;
representing BFM and Project BISON in a manner that enhances the agency’s credibility, reputation, and value.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
a minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, organizational change management, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
accounting fundamentals, statistics, and management analysis;
excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities;
must have excellent prioritization, time management, and organizational skills; and,
familiarity with large-scale IT systems and ERP solutions is a plus
This position is exempt from the Civil Service Act.
This position is eligible for Veterans’ Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
