The South Dakota Retirement System (SDRS) makes a lasting and significant impact in the lives of public employees in South Dakota.
SDRS is looking to hire a proficient, customer-focused professional in the area of member services.
The desired candidate will possess a commitment to serving members of SDRS, practice rigorous attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
The primary duties associated with this position will include:
greeting and welcoming individuals at the reception desk;
opening, scanning, and distributing mail;
data entry of forms received and use of electronic filing system;
routing incoming phone calls; and
additional projects as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A high school diploma or equivalent education is preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
general office practices and procedures;
communicate effectively;
concisely provide information, explanations, and instructions;
obtain and provide information by phone in a clear and courteous manner;
demonstrate compassion, respect, courtesy, and tact when interacting with others;
maintain composure, efficiency and a positive customer-service oriented manner during periods of peak workload, with frequent interruptions;
organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow-up with minimal direction;
operate office equipment such as a computer, copier and fax machine;
business letter writing, and English grammar, spelling and punctuation;
computer software applications.
