The Senior Content Development Administrator occupies a position within the Content Development and Production department.
The Senior Content Development Administrator is responsible for exploring and implementing methods for expanding content development and production output through multiple means (use of content development tools, including technology; expanding vendor and consultant pools; etc.
) and then managing these processes on an ongoing basis.
The Senior Content Development Administrator will also be responsible for managing the use of external item writers and vendors for the development of materials, monitoring productivity and costs while maintaining a high level of quality.
The ideal candidate for this position must be able to independently identify new approaches for recruitment of subject-matter experts and ways to use technology to gain efficiency and then effectively communicate and implement these new processes with others.
The Senior Test Content Development Administrator works closely with other test development staff and content developers.

Primary Responsibilities Research and implement strategies for expanding content development output through multiple means.
Work with managers to identify areas where additional external support is needed for content development and/or production and reach out to external resources for support.
Recruit, hire, and assist with training external item writers and/or copyeditors with varying levels of experience across multiple content areas.
Oversee teams of contractors and vendors in large content development projects; work with other internal staff to create assignments for and assist with supervising the work; track progress against specifications; and ensure quality and productivity metrics are being met.
Manage external resources and budget to ensure resources are properly allocated, deliverables meet standards for quality, completed on-time, and within budget.
Review and edit assessment materials produced by external staff and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Define project plans for new initiatives; communicate and train staff, accordingly; monitor progress, efficiency, and quality and adjust plans as needed.
Maintain item writing training manuals and style guides and deliver training to external vendors and item writers.
Additional Responsibilities Create planning documents, oversee development activities, and coordinate project activities within the department Use and integrate technological resources as management and development tools Manage creation and maintenance of vendor memorandums of understanding (MOUs) and statements of work (SOWs).
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent of 3+ years of work experience.
Previous experience in assessment and/or curriculum development with an educational publisher or assessment provider is highly desirable.
Additional qualifications in project management and customer service are advantageous.
Qualifications & Skills Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated technical writing, editorial, and research skills Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, meet exacting deadlines and specifications, and adapt to unexpected shifts in priorities Works well independently and in a collaborative team environment Must be willing and able to accept constructive feedback and develop new skills Proficiency with computers and software, including Microsoft Office Schedule and Work Setup Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ET Location : This position is attached to our Amherst/Hadley MA office .

) Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: The minimum full-time salary starts at $26.
00 hourly pay rate.
